The satellite dish installation is not an easy DIY project, as it needs a professional installer to carry out the task. Some satellite retailer will provide free installation for the new subscribers. However, if you want to install the satellite antenna on your own, this blog will be helpful to you as here are some useful tips.
Before starting to install, you need to ensure that you have the necessary tools. The required tools for the installation process are complete satellite system, satellite signal finder, coax cable, wrench, zip ties, nut driver bit, post level, small compass, lag bolts and staples or screw clips.
You need to first locate an appropriate place for the installation of the satellite antenna. The location you have chosen must have a clear line, and it should face the direction that is determined by the zip code. The line of sight is a necessity to ensure that there is no interference and to get the necessary signal strength. Also, while installing the satellite dish, you need to bolt it firmly. Based on the location of the dish, you need to use the given mast or foot assembly. Many installers choose a satellite tripod or any other alternative based on the situation.
Now, place the dish on the mast securely, but do not use the bolts. Ensure to pull the coax cable via the dish’s arm and connect it properly. Now, make sure you do not over tighten the bolts to secure the dish to the mast. The coax cable has to be connected to the satellite signal finder and confirm with the television signal confirmation.
